Right on cue as Algeria fights back against Moroccan, “Israeli,” and French hostility as well as being set to involve usury free Islamic banking a lot more in its economy, now the American neocons are developing a narrative against Algeria.
Neocon Gordon Chang began with this narrative that is now being peddled by an increasing number of “Israel” First neocons claiming “Algeria is becoming China’s weapon.”
Gordon Chang falsely accuses Algeria of having started the diplomatic crisis, ignoring the Moroccan ZOG involvement in starting deadly fires in the Kabilye region of Algeria as well as supporting separatism there.
He rages about the fact Algeria has been taking measures to hit back at the ZOG King’s regime after the hostilities against Algeria saying
On September 22, for instance, Algeria closed its airspace to the Moroccan kingdom. Moreover, the Algerian government announced that on the 30th of this month, it would shut its gas pipeline running through Morocco to Spain and Portugal, a move directed against its western neighbor.
Escalating disputes between the two North African countries strike many as inconsequential. As Moroccan analyst Samir Bennis wrote for the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, “To be sure, the Algerian decision to sever ties with Morocco is in many ways a non-event, as diplomatic relations between the two countries have been frozen for most of the last 27 years.” During this period, the Algeria-Morocco border, thanks to Algiers, has indeed been closed.
It should be noted on the Western Sahara question and the fact of Algerian support for the Polisario Front, that came after Morocco’s ZOG tried to conquer Algerian territory in the Sand War and failed. That war came immediately after the end of the brutal French occupation which saw millions of Algerians killed.
He acts like Algeria is being told by Russia and China to pick on innocent Morocco, but both claims are absurd.
The Russian minister stressed that his country does not back one party at another’s expense. “The friendly relations that we have with the countries in the region is not for the benefit of one party against another,” Moroccan media quoted him as saying.
The Russian minister expressed his gratitude to King Mohammed VI for the audience he granted him Friday evening at the Royal Palace of Rabat.
The audience, said Lavrov, proves the mutual trust and bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Moscow and Rabat share the determination to implement agreements made during the King’s visit to Russia in March 2016.
Lavrov gave the King “greetings and a message of friendship” from Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a press release from the Royal Cabinet.
“For his part, King Mohammed VI extended an official invitation to President Putin to visit Morocco.
Lavrov pointed out that both countries made progress in trade and investment.
Foreign minister Bourita said noted that trade between Russia and Morocco increased by 13 percent last year.
Boasting of the strong relations between Rabat and Moscow, Bourita said that “Morocco is Russia’s second [business] partner in the Arab world and Africa and look forward to be the first partner and Russia’s gateway to the continent.”
He stressed that Morocco seeks to boost business partnerships in several sectors such as agriculture, tourism, fisheries, and energy.
On the question of Morocco China relations yet again one should listen to Samir Bennis’ outlet about the relationship, notably, in an article titled “Morocco, China Vow to Improve Bilateral Ties with Respect to Territorial Integrity.”
The article notes “Morocco and China believe that respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity is crucial for international peace and security.”
It goes on to note that the deal that was signed, which the article mentioned expresses the aim for strengthening collaboration in a wide range of fields.
The two countries aim to enhance their collaboration in public health, security, poverty reduction, and sustainable development. The agreement further seeks for both nations to exchange expertise, most notably in the areas of governance, administration, democracy, and the rule of law.
The agreement further encourages both countries to strengthen communication and cooperation in international and regional institutions and multilateral forums, in order to ensure the advancement of their common interests.
Gordon Chang is not a smart guy it goes without saying, but even this was crazy for him, the main guy he brings on to make the Moroccan case, his website openly admits oh yeah we have good relations with Russia and China.
The narrative also claims America recognizing Moroccan sovereignty over the Western Sahara is something Algeria won’t recover from for a while.
“Algeria finds itself in the grip of a seemingly inescapable malaise of socialist decline,” Gregory Copley, the president of the International Strategic Studies Association, tells Newsweek. “This decline has been underway for several years. Algeria’s economy has been sliding since 2018, while that of neighbor Morocco has been rising.”
Of course the neocons he brings on leave out the measures that Algeria is taking to diversify its economy and who are we kidding, do we really think any of these neocons will talk about the fact there is a significant number of Moroccans who work in Algeria because, despite Algeria’s economic issues, the opportunities are better?
Gordon Chang and his neocon allies rage about the fact Algeria is buying new military equipment from China and Russia, ignoring the fact Western countries like Poland and Germany are selling military equipment to the country also. It goes without saying they don’t cover the Moroccan military build up, including the purchasing of Turkish Bayraktar drones.
They act like the US Moroccan relationship gets in the way of Morocco China relations when Samir Bennis’ own outlet admits they don’t.
The powers that be never imagined President Abdelmadjid Tebboune would hit back after hostilities by Morocco, France, and “Israel.” They most certainly didn’t imagine the Algerian government would begin to involve usury free Islamic banking in the Algerian economy on a much wider degree.
