Yemeni forces from the country’s legitimate Ansar Allah led government are in the middle of an offensive on the strategically critical city of Marib and it has been a disaster for the terrorist Saudi-led coalition.
The Yemeni forces have taken 10 of 14 districts in Marib from Saudi-led forces as of their latest push in the heavy clashes for the strategically critical city.
Yemeni Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi has stated apart from the central district, all major districts in Marib are under their control including one of the largest bits of oil infrastructure in Yemen. The final Saudi stronghold in Central Yemen if it completely falls would allow for Yemeni forces to launch even more attacks within Saudi Arabia in response to the Saudi regime’s failed war in Yemen.
The Yemeni forces have also recently hit targets within Saudi Arabia including King Khalid Air Base with a Qasef-2K suicide drone and also against an Aramco oil production facility in Jeddah.
What happens after the Saudis completely lose Marib is unclear but Riyadh is in negotiations to get the S400 missile system and SU35 fighter jets from Russia. American weapons haven’t been able to stop the Yemeni forces from winning the war against Saudi Arabia its unlikely the Russian weapons systems will be much of an improvement.
