The British people had for many weeks been fighting against Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s attempts to bring about a vaccine passport for nightclubs and other crowded venues.
It wasn’t clear for a while as to what way the battle would go but British Health Secretary Sajid Javid announced on Andrew Marr’s show that the plan for the vaccine passports has been scrapped saying, “We just shouldn’t be doing things for the sake of it or because others are doing, and we should look at every possible intervention properly.
“I’ve never liked the idea of saying to people you must show your papers or something to do what is just an everyday activity, but we were right to properly look at it.
“We’ve looked at it properly and, whilst we should keep it in reserve as a potential option, I’m pleased to say that we will not be going ahead with plans for vaccine passports.”
When Sajid Javid says they are keeping it in reserve, that should be the clearest indication to the British people to not get complacent and think that they have permanently defeated the attempts to impose a Soviet style internal passport system. The British people need to be watching this Tory gang like a hawk and make sure they don’t try to bring this back, when they think the British people are no longer paying attention.
When Boris Johnson announced the now scrapped plan, he said proof of a negative Covid test would no longer be enough and that proof of double vaccination would be needed in order to get into places like night clubs.
While vigilance is needed to ensure this doesn’t return, this is still a massive victory in this fight against medical tyranny globally, as this is one of the most Covid compliant countries in the world, this isn’t Russia, where the people have seen how bad these horrors get personally.
